A New Day!

on September 8, 2011

Good Morning!
It is a new day and we are off to a good start today! The kids made it out the door intact! All BackPacks accounted for! Whew! Yesterdays’ backpack drama was not needed today.

Yesterday afternoon my husband dropped the bomb of all bombs on us ! We know his unit is deploying back to Afghanistan, but we were hoping he would be assinged to rear detachmnet for this deployment. This is not to be, he will deploy with his unit also in about 2 weeks. Nothing like hurry up and get ready! The kids are not too happy about this one! Again he will be missing the Holidays with the family and there is a strong possibility he will not be home for our daughters’ graduation. This is the hard part of deployment, the seperation from the family. He is well trained for his job, and God willing he will return to us safely. I pray for all other service members nightly to keep them safe and out of harms way. We also need to pray for the families left behind, to make it through these difficult days too!

That is NOT good news, L. I wish he didn’t have to go. Maybe his R&R will coincide with graduation. It could happen. I will be thinking of you all, especially my “little M.” (Not so little anymore.)

    • You know me, I was not happy , but we can see the brighter side of things…..this time he should be in a ‘safe’ area. He will try to get his R & R for the graduation, he is looking forward to the day!
‘Little’ M is taller than me! He is becoming quite the man. They grow too fast!
